Sunny Beach (Slunchev Bryag) is the place where you can enjoy superb "Blue flag" beaches. The old town of Nessebar is situated on a picturesque small peninsula and on the land jutted out into the sea, 15 km south-east of Sunny Beach. As a museum town Nessebar is classified as a world heritage site and it is under an UNESCO preservation order. In this small town you can see the remains of over 40 ancient churches and centuries old traditional Bulgarian houses. Its beach is considered to be the best along the Black Sea coast. The sand strip is 4,5 km long covered with extremely fine and abundant clean golden sand.
